Ano 2006...Era uma vez 3 estrangeiros fazendo churrasco, caipirinhando, cantando e tocando jazz num castelo mágico construido por o Arquiteto-Bruxo do 2001, Uma Odisseia no Espaço. Mas a música ficou enfeitiçada, perdida neste castelo encantado conhecido como The Maze.
Agora (abracadabra), reserve seu lugar na maquina do tempo para reviver o sonho. Wolf e Lennart Goebel (os Irmaos Sax-Hammond-Organ) junto com Mario Lencina (Batudas-Varas mágicas) vao enfeitiçar voces de novo, como ha 11 anos atras.
𝗢 𝗤𝗨𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗖𝗔?
Desde 2005 The Maze abriga mensalmente a mais tradicional noite de Jazz do Rio de Janeiro. Há 6 anos consecutivos vem sendo listada pela revista especializada DOWNBEAT entre as melhores casas de Jazz do planeta ao lado de nomes como o Blue Note e Ronnie Scott's.
Nos intervalos, a pista pega fogo com a discotecagem de puro-groove com ritmos latinos, soul, funk, jazz e outros.
𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘 É?
Localizado no coração da comunidade Tavares Bastos, no Catete, o The Maze foi construído em 1981 como casa da família do artista plástico britânico Bob Nadkarni. A casa é quase um labirinto no meio da favela. Atualmente funciona também como galeria de arte e hostel. É Inigualável pela sua intrigante arquitetura, com influências vindas de vários lugares do ocidente, e também pela estonteante vista frontal da Baía de Guanabara e do Pão-de-Açúcar.

In the year of 2006...Once upon a time there were three strangers gorging, guzzling magic potions (caipirinhas), singing and playing jazz in a magic castle built by the Architect Wizard of 2001, A Space Odyssey. But the music fell under a spell, lost in this castle known as The Maze.
Now (abracadabra). reserve your place in the time machine to re-live the dream. Wolf and Lennart Goebel (the Sax-Hammond-Organ Brothers) in cohorts with Mario Lencina (Drumsticks-Magic Wands) will put the spell on you, just like 11 years ago.

Located in the heart of the community Tavares Bastos, in Catete, The Maze was build in 1981 as a family home by British artist Bob Nadkarni, resembling a labyrinth in the middle of the favela. Today, it also functions as an art gallery and bed&breakfast. The Maze is unique in its intriguing architecture and renowned for its stunning views over the Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf.

There will be transport up and down the hill all night. Just get on one of the white mini vans waiting on the corner of R. Tavares Bastos/ R. Bento Lisboa. Metro Station Catete in walking distance (one block), bus Troncal 4 to Copacabana, Ipanema and Vidigal stops in R. Bento Lisboa
