THE MAZE:
Located in the heart of the community Tavares Bastos, in Catete, The Maze was build in 1981 as a family home by British artist Bob Nadkarni, resembling a labyrinth in the middle of the favela. Today, it also functions as an art gallery and bed&breakfast. The Maze is unique in its intriguing architecture and renowned for its stunning views over the Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf.
TRANSPORT:
Just get on one of the white mini vans waiting on the corner of R. Tavares Bastos/ R. Bento Lisboa (R$ 3.50 up, R$ 2 down). Metro Station Catete in walking distance (one block), bus Troncal 4 to Copacabana, Ipanema and Vidigal stops in R. Bento Lisboa
